I’m Arul M Joseph, a full-time freelance web designer and developer based in Kerala, with over 14 years of hands-on experience in the industry. Story
After completing my degree, I furthered my education with advanced diplomas in Fine Arts and Web Development. I also have a background in teaching, having served as a part-time lecturer in Multimedia & Communication.
My journey as a freelancer began in 2011 with an Adobe Flash project for IT@School — a Kerala Government program for ICT-enabled learning and teaching that revolutionized the State’s education system. This marked a turning point in my career, opening the door to a vast world of freelancing.
During this early phase, I launched my first web development identity under the domain cmsworks.net, which became my creative and technical playground. It was the starting point of my entrepreneurial journey in digital services. Though I later moved to arulmjoseph.com for personal branding, CMSWorks remains a nostalgic milestone — a symbol of where it all began.
I started with small projects and gradually built a strong offline and online presence. By 2014, I began working with international clients. In 2015, I had the privilege of creating a website for Calicut University Distance Education — one of my most notable projects.
In 2018, my dream of starting a company came true when I co-founded Nexlotech, a web design and consulting agency in Calicut. Today, Nexlotech has grown into one of Kerala’s leading web design firms, delivering powerful digital solutions across industries.

Personal Life
Outside of work, I am a devoted husband to Athira, a professional nurse, and a loving father to Eric and Elaine. enjoy traveling, music, and good food. Web design and coding are not just my profession, but my passion. People often joke about my deep attachment to computers.
